On November 10, 2012, Fr. Pishoy received his Doctor of Ministry degree which is granted conjointly by the University of Toronto and the University of St. Michael’s College. The graduation ceremony was blessed by the presence of H.G. Bishop David, Fr. Abraam Kamal, Fr. Daniel Hanna, and Fr. John Boutros. This study which Fr. Pishoy started is 2006, is the highest professional degree in church ministry granted by an academic institution. The Doctor of Ministry degree is designed for persons involved in full-time ministry and offers a dynamic correlation between theory and practice. It was during the course of this program that, prayerfully, SMSV Church was born through the blessings of our late Patriarch H.H. Pope Shenouda III. We pray that this academic degree would be a source of inspiration to our youth and young adults to continue pursuing God in any capacity that gives glory to God. We thank our blessed SMSV congregation for their prayers and support throughout the past few years that led to the completion of this study. May our Lord use this offering as sweet smelling aroma for His glory and for the glory of our mother, the Church.
