On Sunday, April 27, 2014, the church held the first Sunday School Resurrection Feast Presentation based on the theme of ‘God’s Salvation Plan and His love for us.’ Each group of children creatively delivered a presentation depicting their understanding of God’s love as carried out in His plan of Salvation. The very adorable Angels’ class started us off with a video showing how they express their joy in the Lord as the song, “If You’re Happy and You Know It, ” played in the background. Our wonderful JK to Gr 1 children studied the verse, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” John 20:21, during their small group sessions and showed us how God calls each one of us to share His love. We heard beautiful renditions of the songs “10,000 Reasons” and “We Wanna See Jesus Lifted High” from our children in the Gr 2 – Gr 3 group. Their praise was truly lifted up to Heaven and their sweet voices lifted us up as well! The popular “Everything Skit” was beautifully performed by our Gr 4-6 students. The skit showcased how Jesus is our creator, Saviour and everlasting friend despite our willingness to walk away from Him when temptations come our way. Our afternoon was topped by our very own Gr 7&8 students who put together a news video of interview responses to the question, “What does Salvation mean to you?” Then in their own words, closed off with what salvation means to us all. The event was attended by family and fellow congregation members who were blessed by our children’s talents and efforts to share their faith and love for Christ!
