On Friday May 24, and Sunday, May 26, Toronto Police Service Officers Johnny, Bobbi and Omar, Attorney Mark Fahmy and SMSV’s Church Family Counselors, joined together to host SMSV’s Community Talk Series on Street Smarts and Domestic Violence Awareness. Designed to help our Friday Youth Group and adult church members grow in their awareness, the events were a great success. After Q&A our youth were privileged to tour a police cruiser, while our adult church members were invited to peruse brochures concerning domestic violence, provided by the Toronto Police. Our guest officers opened addressing a range of scenarios while our Church Family Counselors and Mark facilitated questions for discussion. In all many were in attendance on both days and have already asked for more Community Talks.
