2014-2-1The church held its semi-annual Servants’ Spiritual Day on February 1, 2014 at St. Luke’s Church. This day came as part of a church wide campaign to review and enrich all church ministries and provide training for all servants in a variety of areas. The day started with prayer followed by a meditation by Fr. Daniel on the church annual theme “Returning to God”. The servants then had an opportunity to break out into smaller groups to discuss how to implement the annual theme in their perspective ministries. Drs. Amir and Wedad Hanna then shared a meditation on “The Spiritual Minister” followed by a presentation by the technology ministry to provide training for the servants on how to use the new church database Fellowship1 and the new website. After lunch, the servants shared in a group building activity prepared by Robert Martignani and a meditation by Dr. Yasser Botros entitled“The Spiritual Ministry”. Finally, the group had another opportunity to break out into smaller groups to discuss implementing the “Tree Model of Ministry” which focuses on building each ministry from the roots, to the stem, and finally finding its fruits. We are extremely thankful to God for the love, enthusiasm, and dedication of the church servants who are using their gifts and talents for God’s glory.
