April28The Palm Sunday Liturgy is the most attended service of the entire year. All parishioners come together to celebrate the Feast of the Entry of our Lord Jesus into Jerusalem. In the evening of the feast, parishioners come together to pray Vespers Raising of Incense and then get together to weave palms to make many shapes like crosses, jewellery and animals. In the morning, many people arrive early to participate in the Hosanna procession where the deacons and priests go around the church in different stations to read the gospel passages. Fr. Pishoy shared a message entitled “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem” where he spoke about the historical significance of Jerusalem as the Holy City where the temple was built. This is related to each person being the temple of the Holy Spirit where God dwells. The service was concluded with the General Funeral.
