The Church held its first annual Marriage Tune-Up Retreat for couples married from 10 to 25 years on Saturday and Sunday, November 3 & 4 which was entitled “Higher Love”. The retreat was held at the beautiful Kempenfelt Resort in Innisfil, ON. Twenty four couples and their children were in attendance as the church provided a complete children’s program throughout the retreat. In addition to the beautiful scenery and great reading materials, the church arranged several sessions including Spiritual Intimacy, Unified Parenting, Walking in Their Shoes- Empathy, Communication, and other discussions. Numerous talks included small group and couples applications and the entire program ended with a Q&A session. Participants were also blessed to have real-time viewing of the selection of our 118th Patriarch and rejoiced at the news of the selection of H.H. Pope Tawadros II. We thank Fr. Daniel, Drs. Amir and Wedad Hanna, and Joe and Gigi Saad for their leadership in the couples’ ministry as we look forward for many other retreats, God willing.
