On June 27-28 2015, SMSV’s Holy Family Ministry hosted a retreat for couples who have been married for 0-10 years entitled, “Real Marriage, Real People.” The retreat covered four topics: (i) Our Coming Clean: Confession & Canceling Debts; (ii) Our Daily Agenda: Growth and Change; (iii) Our Differences: Appreciation and Grace; (iv) Our Defences: Worship, Work and Eyes Wide Open. With small group workshops and roll playing, the program was enriching and inspiring, encouraging couples to cultivate great marriages with practical and engaging truths. The relaxed setting and social time helped couples unwind and benefit from the experience of other couples as well as licensed counselors who were there to answer questions and provide guidance.
