On Sunday, April 22, 2012 SMSV hosted a legal seminar for the family, entitled “Godly Planning for your Loved Ones: Estate Planning Essentials.” Presented by legal professionals Marlene Doss, LL.B. and Emma Michael, J.D. with Fr. Daniel Hanna, the seminar taught about Powers of Attorney over Property and Person; what a Will is and why one is advisable in view of provincial and federal tax laws; and Biblical principles on stewardship, open communication and equitable distribution of assets among family members. The seminar concluded with an informative question & answer session and was well attended by many congregation members.
