“Esther the Shining Star” is a biblical story in the Old Testament of a young Jewish girl who through her faith in God, courage, prayers and fasting was able to save her people from being killed and annihilated by the hands of the wicked Haman the Agagite who was a mortal enemy to the Jews. On May 25, 2014, the play depicting this story was enacted by the SMSV drama ministry, which is a diverse group of women, men and children of all ages and backgrounds, cultures and talents with one purpose which is to glorify God and portray their love to Him. The focus of the drama ministry is primarily to explore all the talents in the congregation as well as bring cheer and joy while reminding us that “God is good, all the time”. God bless this beautiful and effective ministry for His glory and we look forward for many more presentations in the future.
