We are extremely thankful to our Lord that the Christmas and Fifth Anniversary Celebration Dinner was a great success. The evening started with prayer and praise which was then followed by an inspiring children’s Christmas play. Everyone then shared in a beautiful video entitled “Year in Review” which highlighted some of the main events and activities in the year. Rasha Noor then shared her testimony of her faith journey to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Fr. Pishoy then thanked the Lord for His blessings throughout the past five years at SMSV and shared a video of the church which was recorded in early 2008 and aired on 100 Huntley Street. He encouraged everyone in attendance to maintain the vision that started in 2007 of being a Ministry of Love, Integration, and Outreach. Fr. Daniel then shared the church vision for the next five years of becoming a community church which is inviting and welcoming to everyone it encounters. It was very noticeable that a large number of members invited their friends and colleagues to participate in this celebration. We thank all the volunteers who cooked the delicious dinner, set-up and cleaned the hall, served, greeted at the door, cooked Christmas cookies, organized children’s activities, prepared the program, and much more to make this a very memorable evening. We pray that we would always keep our vision of building a personal relationship with our Lord as well as serve one another and our community.
