The church congregation gathered on the night of Saturday, January 18th to celebrate the Feast of Theophany at Brebeuf Secondary School. The celebration started with raising of incense, followed by the Laqqan Prayer (Blessing of Water), and the Divine Liturgy. On that night, the Church celebrates the baptism of our Lord Jesus and the appearance of the Holy Trinity. Fr. Pishoy shared a meditation entitled “Desire the Fire” which focused on the baptism of Water, the Holy Spirit, and Fire which are all mentioned in the Holy Scriptures. Following the Liturgy, the congregation shared in an Agape meal and fellowship which lasted till after midnight. May our Lord help us always to rejoice in celebrating these feasts and to bless our congregation.
