We are thankful for the presence of Hon. Jason Kenney, Minister of Immigration, who travelled specifically to Egypt to attend the enthronement celebration of H.H. Pope Tawadros II. A delegation of our fathers the bishops along with many Canadian priests welcomed him at St. Mark’s Cathedral on Saturday, November 17th along with the Canadian ambassador to Egypt, Mr. David Drake. The discussion centred around the relationship of the Canadian government with the Copts in Canada and the significant role that Copts play in the Canadian culture. We pray for our beloved country Canada along with its ministers and cabinet to always be led by God’s Spirit and govern the people in justice and righteousness.
