A group of priests and pastors from a variety of Christian denominational backgrounds gathered together with a large number of parishioners on Tuesday, February 26th in Etobicoke, Ontario to pray for the well being of Syria. The meeting which was organized by Light for All Nations and Rev. Nizar Shaheen, carried the theme of “Syria in the Lord’s Hands” and featured a number of spiritual leaders from the Greater Toronto Area who all shared in praying for Syria and the entire Middle East. Fr. Pishoy represented the Coptic Church at this event and conveyed the blessings and prayers of H.H. Pope Tawadros II who was aware of this meeting. The gathering showed great evidence of Christian love and spiritual unity. We all pray for the safety and peace of the entire region and specially Egypt, Syria, and Iraq.
