YOUTH
Youth Group
We, the youth of St. Maurice and St. Verena, welcome all to join us in our journey of spiritual growth, in discovering what God expects from us, and getting to know Him and His Word. We commit to creating an open environment where every member feels comfortable to express him or herself without fear of judgment. We promise to treat each other with mutual respect and to stand united, as one big happy family! We also commit to building our relationships and having FUN through different activities, including sports and youth retreats. We will discuss today’s social issues as they pertain to us as Christians. Lastly, our youth is dedicated to serving one another and the community by sharing the LOVE of Christ.
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Prepare to serve
Our mission is to prepare the next generation of servants for the Church, by equipping them with a strong foundation in the Orthodox Faith. We also incorporate practical service opportunities as a group within and outside of the Church community.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear
the mount
At The Mount, we serve all youth in university and college age groups. Our goal is to walk with them in their spiritual journey and help them understand their Orthodox faith. Fellowship is a key tenant in our mission. The youth are encouraged to develop relationships with each other in addition to the servants. Our goal is to share the message of God and grow in our relationships with Him. We also create a welcoming atmosphere of unity, acceptance and belonging for university and college youth.
