Feb9We were honoured with the visit of Rev. Dr. David Neelands, the Dean of Theology at the University of Trinity College, and a group of students in the Masters Degree program at Trinity, on Saturday, February 9th. The guests arrived in the church and shared in the Vespers Raising of Incense and the Midnight prayer. This was followed by a presentation by Fr. Pishoy on the history and contributions of the Coptic Orthodox Church to world Christianity. Fr. Daniel spoke about the vision of SMSV in promoting diversity and multiculturalism. Then, Tekle and Kidane Samuel shared some memories about the beginning of the service at SMSV and the contribution of all its diverse members to enrich the ministry. After a period of Q & A, the group enjoyed a time of fellowship over an agape meal. We were very thankful for this blessed visit in which we had the opportunity to share the glories of our beloved Coptic Orthodox Church.
