On June 8-9, SMSV held its “Marriage Tune-Up” Retreat for couples married 1-10 years. The Retreat was held at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort and featured three sessions. Fr. Pishoy’s session was entitled, “Couples Spiritual Vision 20/20”, encouraging couples to live, pray and plan intentionally for God. Fr. Daniel’s session was entitled, “Intimacy, Fidelity and Emotional Connectedness”, encouraging couples to appreciate, protect and maintain God’s holy gift of bonding. Fr. Pishoy Wasfy’s session was entitled, “When Things Go Wrong: Communication”, teaching couples how to appreciate the significance of verbal and non-verbal communication while using both constructively. Following each session, interactive Small Groups and private Take-Home Talks were conducted to apply any newly learned principles. In all, 18 couples enjoyed praise, prayer and great fellowship at SMSV’s 1st annual Marriage Tune-Up Retreat.
