On October 5 & 6, 2018, SMSV was glad to welcome Fr. Anthony Mourad and Mr. George Bassilios for our annual community outreach nights, the theme of which was Faith and Reason. Through the evening sessions, community members and guests of all ages explored whether the orthodox faith is reasonable and the role of doubt in our faith journey. We also held children’s session on Saturday morning to encourage them to be ready to defend their faith. Our worship team surrounded us in a prayerful atmosphere through their praise and many hard questions and thoughtful concerns were addressed. We praise God for an environment where doubts can be safely explored and resolved, allowing all to grow in our rational worship.
