The Coptic Clergy of South Western Ontario, under the leadership of H.G. Bishop Mina, met at Virgin Mary & St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church in Mississauga, on Thursday August 15th, to discuss the ongoing terrorist activities in Egypt. A joint statement was issued condemning the attacks against Churches, the military, and innocent civilians. A prayer meeting was held at church on Sunday, August 18th following the Divine Liturgy to seek God`s mercy and intervention. May our Lord protect our beloved land Egypt from all harm while keeping the safety and life of our beloved father H.H. Pope Tawadros II and the entire Church. We also pray for the assailers that the Lord may enlighten their hearts and minds to stop terrorizing the innocent people and know the Lord.
