The church organized a seminar for young parents entitled: “The Impact of Electronics and Social Media on Our Children” with guest speaker Dr. Hani Ashamalla, on March 23, 2019. This seminar drew a great interest from parents who were seeking a greater understanding with their children concerning this relevant topic. Our speaker explored the idea of digital addiction and its impact on developing minds. He also made suggestions to limit and control the children’s exposure while not banning them from controlled and limited screen time. There was also time allocated for Q & A where parents communicated and shared suggestions on giving children alternatives to expand and explore healthy bodies, minds and spirits. We are thankful for the presence of our beloved speaker and pray for more visits in the future.
