The Youth Group spent a beautiful sunny day together at Chudleigh’s Apple Farm in Milton followed by a buffet lunch at Frankie Tomatto’s. Upon arrival to Chudleigh’s Apple Farm the youth were given an opportunity to taste test more than half a dozen different kinds of apples ranging from Gala, Wealthy and of course the very sweet Honeycrisp. Then it was off on a wagon ride to the orchards where each group split up according to the kinds of apples they preferred to pick (and of course, further tasting needed to take place). Following another wagon ride, the youth visited the petting zoo as well went on 20 foot slides. Finally, the day concluded with a buffet lunch at Frankie Tomatto’s where the youth heard a short word about the feast of the cross. The day was very joyful from beginning to end and gave the youth as well as the counsellors an opportunity for fellowship, to get to know each other better, as well as to welcome new members. May our Lord bless our youth and guide all their steps.
