September 22, 2018 marked a very special day for SMSV and its congregation. With the grace of God and the help and diligent assistance and hard work of many volunteers we held our first fair. The main objective was to open our doors to the community and the surrounding area; hence we selected the same day that Doors Open Markham was taking place. This ensured more advertising and awareness about the church and its services.
Part of the fair was having a business network hub; that was located in the “All Nations Hall”; a garage sale (all items were donated by our generous congregation; we are thankful for your generosity), a kiddyland that proved to be lots of fun, baked good sales (donated by the church members) and of course a BBQ to complement the event. We are thankful first to God for the success of this event and secondly for all and every one who helped making it a success.
