The church organized a congregation spiritual retreat during the Victoria Day Long Weekend from May 19 – 21. The theme of the retreat was based on the book of H.H. Pope Shenouda III “Life of Faith”. Our guest speakerFr. Mark Hanna led several sessions which included The Unseen, Faith and Works, Lord Increase Our Faith, andSharing Our Faith, as well as memories from surviving the 9/11 attack in 2001. Also, Fr. Daniel led a session entitled Let Your Will be Done. The weather was so beautiful during that entire weekend which allowed everyone to spend time outdoors and by the lake. Other activities included a bonfire at night, a presentation by our children on the story of Daniel and his expression of faith, as well as a prayer meeting for the nomination of Dr. John Boutros for ordination at SMSK. Overall, it was a very enjoyable weekend filled with blessings and spiritual growth. God bless every ministry for the glory of His holy name.
