The Coptic Orthodox Church alongside with the Catholic Church and several Protestant Churches held a joint Prayer Meeting at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Downtown Toronto on September 10, 2017 to pray for peace in the Middle East and for all persecuted Christians around the world. The meeting was presided by Cardinal Thomas Collins of the Catholic Church and H.G. Bishop Mina of the Coptic Church. The timing of the Prayer Meeting coincided with the beginning of the Coptic year which is the Year of the Martyrs. There was a large presence from all Christians denominations and from all Coptic Churches across the GTA. We are very thankful for this amazing fellowship and we pray for all Christians who are suffering persecution around the world.
