On August 15, 2014, several of our counselors joined our Grade 7-8 youth to board a bus to Oshawa to attend the 16th annual Coptic Orthodox Ontario League (“COOL”) Convention. This year’s theme was “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1) and was an encouragement to all. May our Lord bless our youth and the organizers of the COOL convention.
1 Corinthians 10:31 reads “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the Glory of God”. The message was well received by our very own grade 7 & 8 children at Cool Convention. These amazing kids came home with 10 awards. Starting with our lone female Juliana Botros who won Gold in basketball and left an imprint on how the convention will be held in the future. Mina Awadalla, Kirollos Stephanos, Thomas Reghab, John Danial, and Mark Ali help win the bronze medal for boys in basketball. Thomas Reghab, Kirollos Stephanos and John Danials also helped bring home some individual awards. This year’s Cool Convention saw SMSV come home with more awards than any other year. Glory be to GOD
