“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1)
The Annual Pentecost Celebration Dinner was held at Sheraton Parkway Hotel on June 8, 2014. Just like the day of Pentecost, there were many people gathered from different ethnicities and experiences. Our guest speaker Charles Allen, a Canadian Track & Field Olympian and the current National Track & Field coach, shared his testimony about God’s blessing and work in his life. We also heard from Rev. Kouroesh Barani from the Toronto Iranian Church about his journey with Christ and his ministry among his congregation. We were also honoured by the presence of Minister Michael Chan who is a close friend of the church. Furthermore, Fr. Bishoy ElAnthony shared the Pentecost message which reminded everyone with the blessings that servants receive when working with God. Fr. Pishoy updated the congregation on the construction progress and the worship team led prayer at the beginning and the end. Overall, it was a joyful day of celebration and fellowship where many congregation members came together to celebrate the gift of receiving the Holy Spirit.
